MISC COMICS

Comic Tidbits

Sleepyhead was going to be a comic about a boy who had learned how to lucid dream from a very young age. Eventually, he could travel to other people’s dreams while he slept.

Concept art for the dreamworld.

These kids are the spooky squad. In real life, they look pretty ordinary, but in dreams they all manifest themselves as animals.

I guess the plot would be pretty similar to Code Lyoko, where the dreamworld leaked into the real world.

If you’ve read Light-hearted, you can tell I still hold onto the imagery of hands rising from water.

The next comic was called Hobbo Hotel. It’s a pun off Habbo Hotel. I made it January 2014.

It’s about three broke losers living out of a car, and the characters were based off my friends.

The losers were going to then steal the tourist’s wallets and come up with a wacky scheme to get rich. Very Ed, Edd and Eddy type of humor.

I never titled this one, it’s labeled, “LSD COMIC” in my folders.

What I wanted to do with this comic is explore differing perspectives. I’d come up with a factual account of events, and then draw that event through the lens of someone on too much acid. The reader was supposed to try to interpret what was actually going on.

So, for example: as the author I know he’s viewing a lamp, but the main character sees a sun instead. That kind of thing.

Wow! You scrolled to the bottom!
