HISTORY:
Noah prophesized the coming of the Flood. And the Flood came, turning the planet into one large ocean.
And the true ruler, Poseidon, rose to the throne.
King-Captain Neo Noah the first, later prophesized the coming of the Great Drought. When it came, the sunken Isles would return again.
When the Isles returned, he promised farming land to any fisherman who brings him a pair of new fish for his newly built Aquarium.
Years later, Noah’s grandson continues his ancestor’s mission to save all the fish in the ocean. The Aquarium is painstakingly maintained by the royal-navy. Every sailor worth their salt is out on the seas in search of undiscovered rare fish.
Yet the further they explore, the more dangers the seas provide.
~~Pictured above is King-Captain Noah the 4th. Noah still believes in his great great grandpa’s prophecy that the great Drought will appear soon.
Poseidon’s followers will do anything they can to stop it (the dominating religion is the Church of Poseidon).

ABOVE: Knight-sailors.
King-Captain Noah the 4th runs the Royal Navy’s knight-sailors. With them, he sails (out of a battleship) to go and battle monsters in the deep oceans, to protect the civilians.
NOTE: Wally has 3 robot eyes.

BACKSTORY: There was once a lighthouse keeper who lived out at sea. Water stretched for miles and miles around.
Her name was Gertrude. Alone, she raised two boys on her little island.
(I just like light-houses as motifs.)

They were known as the McCools family. Ma (Gertrude) used to hunt whales and sell their blubber as part of the Royal-Navy, but has since retired since losing an eye in battle.

She had two sons, of different fathers. Her eldest was Chase, and the younger was Hunter.
Ma taught them to sail, fish, and help her run the lighthouse.

She has since taken up the job as a lighthouse keeper. She is now paid by “Light Dues” taxed on ships by the government. (Grizzled Veteran vibes)
On their birthdays, she makes apple pie for them.

For upon these seas, fruit was a luxury few could afford. It was reserved for the wealthy upper class.
Without fruit to eat, high in Vitamin C, one would eventually succumb to the Dreaded Scurvy.

Both of them know their fathers but don’t have a close relationship with them. Having fallen from grace after the Great Flood, both fathers were shadows of their former glory.
Hunter was the son of Hades. Hades is an introvert who goes by Hank now. Hank was cursed by Poseidon and turned into a sea serpent. A three-headed goldfish, a gift from his father, was his favorite pet.
Chase was one of the many sons of Zeus. Zeus goes by Zack now. Zack is now a large seagull with a golden fork.
This is the story of the two brothers, when they are 21 (Chase) and 18 (Hunter) years old. In this story, Chase and Hunter are on their way to pick up pie ingredients at the marketplace (known as the Boatwalk). The market is home to psychics, restaurants, and a quaint bookstore.

Chase likes yellow, because it’s the color of thunder. Hunter likes purple, because it’s the color of hellfire (gothic satanist vibes).

Jackson and Hunter are half-brothers who dream of one day owning their own fruit orchard. Hunter wants grapes and Jackson wants peaches.
They also sell canned fruit and pornography magazines under the table, which are heavily taxed by the ruling Kingdom.
One day she returns from a hunting trip, sits down, and says that the whales have taken both her eyes. She knew it would happen one day. The brothers feed her soup as she recovers from her injuries.
Hunter and Jackson go in her place, to fight the whales.

A huge plot of land is promised to whoever catches the female Kraken.
Ma, a whale hunter, returns one day with both her eyes slash out. The Sea has taken her eyes.

Valentine, an aspiring romance novelist, is recruited to tend to their new plots of land.
One day, Dave, a washed up deity, visits the brothers. He arrives floating in a bathtub, and in exchange for grapes and wine, gives Jackson a silver fork that used to be Poe’s trident.
Hunter, in secret, summons Henry for help. He is given Cerebus, a loyal three-eyed goldfish. The fish is able to scare any man or creature into submission.
He uses fruit as offerings to the Old Ones at the bottom of the ocean. (They suffer from horrible afflictions of Scurvy). Overnight, fish begin to jump into his net.
With every lemon offered, an ancient curse from the Old Ones sets into motion. Zack, Poe, and Henry, three washed up Deities, join their remaining powers to prevent the prophecy from coming true.
